The sony corporation has released many titles for the Playstation 3 launch date.

PS3 Controller

The Playstation 3 Controller was a hard decision for the design group of the system. They had originally released a photo of the controller looking more like a "boomerang" than something that would be used for a video game. The reason for this design was that they wanted to create something new instead of using the same controller that they had used for their first two systems. After many complaints about the controller they decided to go back to the original design. They also made the controller wireless so that you do not have to deal with a cord and its length. This is a very popular feature that is very important to many gamers. They also added a "playstation" button so that you can go to the system's main screen. This screen allows gamers to access the video game, music, photos, and other cool features. This controller is very nice and more gamer friendly than any other controller out there.

Limited Supplies

The Playstation 3 has had development problems for a long time. The system was supposed to be released in the spring of 2006, but do to problems with the Blue Ray software they had to postpone the release until November 17 of the same year. Altough the wait is longer it is good because if they had tried releasing the system in the spring it would have cost at least $1200. By Sony waiting half a year they were able to cut the cost in half. The system has so many diiferent parts from different companies that it takes Sony a long time to make them. For the release date the Sony corporation is only scheduled to have 400,000 systmes for a worldwide launch. This is very few compared to the Xbox 360 which had 2 million for their first release, and the Xbox 360's were sold out when the stores opened. This just shows that the Playstation 3 will be in very high demand for a very long time.

Playstsation 3 Preorders

As of October 10 all the preorders at gamestop for the PS3 have already been sold. Within 5 minutes after the stores opened all of the preorders were already gone. Gamestop was not planning on having the preorders be sold until the beginning of November, but they surprised many people by selling them 21 days before the expected date. This shows that with very little information that sony has released that the PS3 will be a very popular item. On top of that their will only be about 400,000 system for a worldwide launch on November 17. Many people that I know are planning to stay out all night for a PS3 since they were not able to get a preorder. With hardly any Ps3's for the launch date I think that it will be a long time before they are not going to be sold out.
